Le son si particulier du violoncelle à cinq cordes requis ici, attachant et ensorcelant, m’a captivée au point de vouloir lui consacrer tout un récital.
Pour entourer la sixième suite, seule pièce écrite, à ma connaissance, pour cet instrument, j’ai puisé dans le répertoire pour luth, viole de gambe et violon des pièces pour lesquelles j’éprouve un attachement particulier.
Si elles témoignent de mes goûts musicaux, elles révèlent aussi un potentiel expressif insoupçonné du violoncelle à cinq cordes, tout en apportant un éclairage différent sur la sixième suite.
